Reminder About the New Temporary Mass Schedule:
Vigil Masses on Saturday at 4:00 PM in English
Sunday Mass at 8:00 AM in English
Sunday at 10:00 AM in English with readings in Italian. This mass
will be live-streamed on our Facebook page.
Sunday at 12:00 PM in Spanish
The temporary change was needed to allow for the orderly
entrance and exit of parishioners and the disinfecting of the Church
after each Mass.
The Masses are first-come-first-served; there is no pre-registration or tickets. When the Masses become full again, under the current circumstances, we may put in a simple way of regulating Mass attentance.
There is a strong devotion to St. Blaise at Holy Ghost Church and we will have a commemoration of his feast day with blessing of throats on the Weekend of February 7. Those who love Holy Ghost Church and San Biagio have raised funds to create a beautiful statue and have also provided for a new oven and stove for the kitchen in the Church. There will not be a dinner this year but all of us could use the intercession of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr to God for deliverance from any illness, as the Blessing says:
“Through the intercession of St. Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness:
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.”
In imitation of the directions we have received regarding Ash Wednesday the blessing will be said once and the faithful may come forward to be blessed briefly in silence.
The office is closed until further notice. We are available by phone at (401) 421-3551and email at holyghostchurchri@gmail.com. Please contact us if you are in need, Fr. Francesco is present and available especially for the sick.
